El Sol Vida picks you up between 6:00 and 7:30 a.m., depending on your hotel, to reach Ocho Rios for a 9:00 start. Freeport hotels go first, around 6:00; Rose Hall last, around 6:45 to 7:05. A guide stays with you all day, and all admission and activity fees are included.
The day covers four activities: a guided climb up Dunn's River Falls, a zipline, a horse ride along the beach and into the waves, and an ATV ride on back roads. Lunch is optional and paid on the day. Guests single out the falls most often, then the ATV and the horse ride. One noted the zipline is only three lines, fine for beginners.
Small print matters here. It needs 6 participants to run, from any hotel; if not, you're offered another date or a refund. It's not open to cruise passengers. Weight limits are 230 lb for the horses, 260 lb for the zipline and 300 lb for the ATV, and ATV drivers must show a licence. At $352 it costs more than twice the Chukka pass, which has no waterfall.
